Sophie graduated from University of Auvergne (France) in 1993. She worked in general dental practice for five years before returning to University of Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne. She obtained her PhD degree in 2008 and became Professor in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in 2010. Her research has led to collaboration with colleagues in numerous European countries and in the USA. She has published articles, in French and international journals, mainly related various aspects of Minimal Intervention in Cariology.
